The operation takes place in a continuous manner without any break though they usually function in a batch mode. Incinerators are specifically initiated to burn any kind of hospital waste that operates at excess air levels. The pathological wastes are usually burned when the air level reaches near 100%. When high moisture waste content is burned, the excess air helps to retain the temperature of the high chamber. 3.8 kg/min or similar is the range of the waste feed capacities in excess air incinerators.
- Rotary kiln incinerators
This technology is mass-produced with a primary chamber for heating the waste which eventually is volatilized. Additionally, the secondary chamber is used for burning the volatile fractions. In the primary chamber, from the feed point, the waste moves to the ash discharging point through an inclined, rotating kiln. The ratio of the waste feed is examined by adjusting the kiln rotation rate and the angle of inclination. Later, through a port, the primary chamber inserts the burning air. When the burning process starts, to maintain the burning temperature, an extra burner is needed.
